About Me

My name is Kristin Grosso and I am a marketing professional who specializes in the equine and automobile industries.

I have 20 years of experience in marketing and sales. Nine of those years have been spent consulting for clients in the equine industry. These clients have included insurance companies, college equestrian programs, dressage trainers and clinicians, not-for-profit agencies, and retail businesses.  I have 30+ years of experience as an equestrian and I know the industry back and forth. More information on my business, Sport Equine Marketing, LLC can be found here: www.sportequinemarketing.com.

My familiarity with the automotive industry is lifelong. My family owns a large auto dealer group, Carbone Auto Group. The business has existed since 1929.  I grew up with the business and although I have not been actively involved to date other than working in the business in my younger years, I do have a passion for it. I have watched this business grow throughout my life.  Carbone Auto Group is a significant business with over 500 employees and it was #74 on Ward's Automotive list of top 125 auto dealer groups nationally in 2011. More information can be found here: http://carbonecars.com/About-Us.aspx and http://carbonecars.com/Timeline.aspx.

The automotive industry excites me.   I enjoy learning and sharing information about auto dealer marketing practices. I have attended NADA and NYSADA meetings on several occasions with my family and I am looking forward to exploring and discussing marketing tactics and insights for the auto industry on this blog.

I attended Skidmore College where I received a BA in Sociology (1991). In 2011, I completed a Professional Certificate, "Marketing Strategies for Business Leaders" from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management. I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Marist College which I will complete in August, 2013.
